About Me

Hey, I’m Dyan

I firmly believe that everyone has a story to tell. Some may be short, others rather long, some give you a lot of details, others leave a lot questions, some are colourful, some are monochrome. But most importantly, all are unique and beautiful in their own right.

Hi! Nice to meet you!

I feel like my life is built on contradictions - I'm an introvert, but I love getting to know people, and trying new things. I'm reserved and often shy, but frequently say the wrong thing, and put my foot in my mouth. I'm a romantic and a dreamer, but I love research and organizing.

My son is absolutely my everything. I’m both a dog and a cat person. I love reading or listening to audiobooks or podcasts about psychology, parenting, philosophy or photography while enjoying a glass of red wine. I'm also a collector of hobbies - currently, I'm a runner (though it's been harder since my son was born,) a recreational ballerina with the RWB, and obviously an insatiable learner of all things photography-related.

I believe in honesty, I support authenticity and I strive for meaningfulness. I think we can all live better lives if we understand ourselves, if we accept ourselves and if we respect and love each other. I know memories can lose their edges quickly. And that memories are the only things we’re left with. I do my best to create photography that honours all of that.

I look forward to working with you, and capturing you and your loves. I am truly honoured to be entrusted with your special moments. <3

If you resonate with my work…

we might be a bit alike.

You might be a tiny bit sentimental, and are probably a bit of a romantic and a dreamer. You might love the idea of being a minimalist, but also firmly believe that shopping is therapy. You might have a few too many hobbies, but spending time with your family and loved ones is more important to you than anything else in the world. You probably treasure and hold onto ordinary moments.

It’s possible that, like me, you’ve started to realize that experiences far surpass any other gift you can receive, and that one of the most memorable things you can do for yourself, your relationship, or your family is to capture it, make it fun, make it art. Put it on your fridge, make an album, show it off on Instagram (and count the likes and comments,) or display it as a piece of incredible artwork on your wall.

If you’re still reading, we’re probably going to be fast friends, so let’s hang out and create something amazing!
